Caught the end of some discussion about this on the telly last night, re: music.

Woman was arguing that Elvis should not have been called the 'King of Rock and Roll' as it's essentially Black music. I wouldn't call the bloke the king of anything FWIW., but I always thought that more than anyone he failed to acknowledge the black influence on his output.

But, if I heard her right, she was also arguing similar against the Stones. This is jusrt wrong because they were very much involved in waking up the UK and US to the wealth of indigenous Black music/artists in the US and getting them recognised.

While we're at it, I saw some pic the other night of Icelandic troops or somesuch wearing Bolwer Hats. (Derbys for our US friends) What a cheek!!
