You should not "risk" it, like Russian roulette, but take it to a mechanic you trust, have him lift up and check brake disks, exhaust, oil leaks, suspension, etc. Then check the engine, clutch and gearbox. At 206,000 km it might need many thousands of pounds of work, or it might have had work already done (well, not bodged) in the past and be ready for another 200,000. (Do I sound like your father?)
