Capacitors old Philips speakers

I've inherited a pair of old (1970-odd) Philips speakers, 2-way, octagonal 8 inch woofer and a serious-looking dome tweeter. They sound excellent, but being unable to leave things alone I've opened them up and the crossover contains two coils and a 12uF electrolytic condenser. I'm wondering if after 46 years it might not be a good idea to replace this with a modern MKT or similar equivalent, actually 10+1.56 uF which I happen to already have lying around. I would not think that going from 12 to 11.56 would make any audible difference, but wondering if going from electrolytic to poly-whatever might. Or, indeed, it is worth changing it at all. The old electrolytic is fairly large, aluminium coloured and rated 125 volts.
