Posh Kettle Leads.

I have a fairly respectable system. The relevant bits for the purposes of this thread are:

LFD Zero Mk5 integrated.
Rotel RCD 965 BX ( used as transport)
Benchmark DAC 1.
Rogers Studio 3s, with AB3 Bass Extenders.

A ( Wealthy) friend recently delivered the following for me to try... ( It should be said here that he is using kit costing about 10x what mine cost..

1. JPS Aluminata mains lead.
2. JPS Labs 'Kaptovator Optimised Field Matrix' mains lead.
3. Cardas 'Clear M Power' mains lead.
4. Nordost 'Vishnu'. Mains lead.

I spent an hour or so listening to each of these used as mains lead for my amp.

I was generally underwhelmed, although I did think I heard bass and timing improvements with the truly elephantine and eyewateringly expensive Aluminata. The 'Kaptovator' also seemed to do something with bass depth.
The others did nothing discernable (to me) in my system.

Next, I tried them all on my DAC.

Similar results.

Maybe a lead that costs almost as much as my amp is not a good use of upgrade funds...
