Lehmann Audio Black Cube SE II - superb

Having been living with since Christmas I just wanted to say what fantastic phono stage it really is.

Using a LYRA DELOS.....

To begin with the mind boggled about the loading of MC cartridges. It only has the option on the dip switches for 1k and 100ohms. Once it had run in I found 1000 ever so slightly edgy and 100 to soft so I ordered a selection of metal film resistors and have green experimenting.

It has sockets in the board for custom losing that just push in with no soldering required. 1 pair are switchable allowing the custom loading and the factory presets no the other pair are hardware do bypassing the dip switches.

I started with 510ohms, half way between the two, it was a big improvement, silky treble with good bass but a tad soft, then I tried 680ohms and this better again retains the lovely top end but just reigns it in enough.

So yes, what a superb stage. Very versatile and Highly recommended..
