Has anyone dismantled a PowerIgel

As the heading says has anyone dismantled a PowerIgel. I have an 8 head unit and only use 4, I therefore want to remove the surplus 4 leads to avoid rf.

Any advice - dismantle, just cut them and seal the bare ends with heatshrink sleeving or even do a swap for a 4 head.
