Croft 7 power amp 5A fuse blown

My pre amp is a Croft Micro Basic and the power amp is a Croft 7. The normally green front LED turned red and the power amp tripped. I found that the one of the three T3.15A fuses at the back is blown. I found the blown fuse is a F5A fuse which may have been put in by the previous owner. The rating and type contradict the writings on the sticker.

Both channels give distorted sound. I need to buy new T3.15A fuse tomorrow and find out if it will sort out the problem. Can someone advise why the fuse would blow?
