Pro-ject 9cc evolution tonearm on LP12

I'm thinking of buying a Pro-ject 9cc evolution tonearm for my LP12 but was wondering if any other fishes have done the same ? And are they happy with it ?

Pro-jects description implies it will fit an LP12 but will the lid still fit as they look a little higher than Linn arms ?

Any advice very welcome
