Leaking towel rail
Bugger.
I have a towel rail in the bathroom, the sort that are connected to the central heating and heat the room like a radiator. Great, except mine leaks. I have tried the universal bodgit 2 pack putty that generally works for a while, but it's not sticking to the chrome and it looks like renewal time. I suspect it is 25 years old, as that's the age of the house. The rail itself is leaking where the pipes are welded. There's a rusty stain so the rest of it is probably a bit nasty. So, replacement time. Anyone know of any decent ones out there? Anything to watch? The width is about 18" and I don't want to move pipes about if I can avoid it, for obvious reasons. I have a valve either end (lucky me) so I can replace it without a total system drain.
