It's finally time to move this successful project on. It's seen various iterations which have already been documented on PFM. The project arose because I had acquired a NAC72 with a damaged motherboard from one member and a good NAC12 motherboard from another. Putting the 12 board in the 72 case left a lot of room and, at various times I've had 4 x TPR2 or 2 x TPR4 modules in it giving local regulation. The regulators have now been removed and used elsewhere. This is a fully functioning preamplifier (apart from what I've noted below) and needs a power supply from either a NAP or external power supply.
The phono boards are currently only available to the buyer of the preamplifier but may be listed again after it's sold.
This unique preamplifier has:
- 1 x 325/7 relay board (unserviced)
- 2 x 321/5 gain boards (unserviced)
- 2 x 324/4 buffer boards (unserviced)
- an ALPS Blue volume control
- a replacement selector switch
- no balance control (wired out)
- an earth lift arrangement (currently shorted out to revert to normal Naim spec.)
- 5 line level inputs (2 x RCA and 3 x DIN) unless you remove the links and fit phono boards to input 1 (see below)
- there is no provision for tape outputs but the buyer could add these if required
You could make a very nice system if you also buy my NAP140 in the main classifieds which is currently open to offers!
£145 including U.K. shipping.
Payment by bank transfer or PayPal gift/personal payment with no fees to me.
I can offer the buyer a choice of phono boards as follows:
- 2 x 322/2 'N' boards for MM cartridges - £45
- 2 x 323/3 'E' boards for high output MC or low output MM cartridges - £40
- 2 x 323/2 'K' boards for Linn (or similar) MC cartridges - £40
The phono boards are currently only available to the buyer of the preamplifier but may be listed again after it's sold.
