Eh? You should always ensure you give the package a good look over. Its not always easy with the courier hopping from foot to foot but its basic common sense.

If they have trashed the parcel all the signs should be there.

I always pack things assuming some abuse. Ive seen some real horror stories about chucking stuff out of vans. I read a report that one depot encouraged throwing the parcels to save time.

There are only certain things I will send. Beyond that I wouldnt risk it, no matter how well I could pack them.

There are some good couriers and I thank Parcelforce for a quick, no hassle sending of one Celestion SL6

As Tony says the squiggly line means someone has signed for it even if its not the addressee There is a large element of trust
