I've done this and the difference is not subtle. Please report back if you do this.
The idea here is to reduce as many points of corrosion and bad contacts as possible.
Here we go...
Buy some deoxit d5 and a tiny pot of deoxit gold with the brush. £30 max but will last for years.
Replace the power socket with a non switched type. I got an mk unswitched double socket for a fiver.
Obviously take care to turn off house power before doing so. These sockets are totally legal and have the usual non insertion protection for kids. Reason for replacing is the switch gear inside a socket gets dirty. The socket faceplates are standard size and are easy to swap.
Before fitting the socket, paint deoxit gold onto copper contacts wheře the wires will be screwed.
If your fuses in your main board pull out, clean them with deoxit. If very dull, polish them bright first.
Clean the pins of all power plugs with d5, followed by deoxit gold.
If the pins are very dirty clean to shiny with either metal polish or very fine emery paper. As above treat with deoxit.
Remove all fuses from power plugs. Wipe clean with deoxit and paint with gold. If copper fuse holder is dull, treat that too. Reinsert fuses.
Do the same with any iem fuses which are easily accessible on the back of equipment.
Using a cotton bud clean all male pins where your kettle leads go, d5 then gold.
Clean all speaker cable connections til shiny using d5, and treat with gold.
Push and pull all interconnects several times to get rid of corrosion, then paint with deoxit gold. For Naim gear, paint each din peg with gold. If the legs look dirty, spray with d5 first and dab off the excess.
Paint any other leads with deoxit gold, eg usb connectors, ipad sockets and so on.
Power up and let it all come up to temperature.
Enjoy. I predict you will be listening to a lot more music.
Note other improvements are available eg room treatments but I haven't tried them.
