Switch for 2 amps, one set of speakers

mardi 15 mars 2016

As mudlark states you should have a line level out from your AV processor for the front left and right channels, then an RCA into the back of your main hi-fi stereo amp.

I have an old Yamaha DSP-E800 AV processor, which was designed for this purpose, and has no front L&R amps...they go for about £40 second hand

Set your AV amp to 'no centre', this will then send the 3 most important channels to your lovely stereo system...centre will be balanced between them.

P.S. Ideally your stereo amp volume should be at 12 o'clock, just balance your other AV levels to achieve this...

I've been running with 4.1 for a while, much better for audio DVDs etc. I've now gone to 4.0 as I've upgraded my main speakers to IPL S5TLs, and they go down to 20Hz, so no need for a substandard sub any more...

Let's block ads! (Why?)
