This is a DAC and Stand Alone Room Correction unit. It also acts as a Preamp and input switcher and will accept Balanced outputs as well as Single Ended ones.
Its a great bit of kit and acts as great little room EQ with much better in room results than Devialet SAM but I have implemented BruteFIR on a Raspberry Pi 3 (which replaced my Devialet) and I have incorporated it into the DSP controls that pass audio to my HiFiBerry DAC so don't need this.
A great system if you are not a unix software hacking nerd though.
