Custom laminated transformer, can anyone recommend a supplier?

I'm scratching an itch by playing with a Chinese single-ended EL34 valve amplifier. With my mains supply usually over 250V its 220V transformer is putting a huge strain on many of the components including the valve heaters and I'd like to get a custom-made EI laminated transformer. If it were a toroid I'd go straight to Canterbury Windings but they don't make laminated transformers. Can anyone recommend a supplier for a custom 200VA transformer?

Are there any viable alternatives - variac, toroid in an external box dropping 250V down to 220V?
