A few unrelated snippets from http://ift.tt/1PmSIgg this morning:

"Royal Bank of Scotland chief executive Ross McEwan has tried to put a positive spin on the bank’s latest results, which show an eighth straight year of losses, earlier describing them as “good”."

"Royal Bank of Scotland chief executive Ross McEwan received a total pay packet worth nearly £3.8m for 2015, the lender revealed, as it posted its eighth straight year of losses. His total pay last year, including bonuses and other benefits such as pension payments, was more than double his remuneration package in 2014 of £1.8m"

"Shares in the majority-state-owned bank have dived 10.5 per cent this morning to 218 pence. Year-to-date the shares have dropped 27.7 per cent, and are down more than 96 per cent since their pre-crisis peak of £59.76"
