Anyone heard or used valves with Focal Diablos

In other threads I've been contemplating a valve CD player to replace the one I've just sold, partly to take the shine off the treble on my Diablos. my LP12 is less problematic

Others have suggested room equalisation and furniture positioning so I'm addressing that separately.

Now I'm interested to hear any experiences of Diablos with valve amplification. Trouble is it can't be too expensive - I would have to trade in an ATC SIA2-150 to pay for it with not much extra funds to add. (Before anyone gets too excited about the ATC, I'm in Australia)

Any experiences please and tips on what to look for? I don't need rock stadium volumes but I listen to rock, dance, pop as well as classical so it needs a bit of impact.
