[WTD] cheap working Sony MM or MC cartridge with original stylus

I have a PS-FL5 turntable with a Sony XL-20 MM cartridge. There is a problem with one channel. I want to swap the cartridge with something similar that works, so I can see if the XL-20 is the cause of the problem I have. My budget is tiny - I don't want to spend more than about £20 - £25 tops inc P&P. And if it's not the XL-20, I would like to be able to sell the other one for something similar to what I paid for it.

Is the XL-20 cartridge any good? I found a mint one with box for sale at a whopping £250... but maybe that's more of a 'collector' price than a sensible price. I also read from the PS-FL5 manual that the needle is only good for about 400 hours - that's not very good, is it?
