Webforwarding/Dynamic Addy problem

I am struggling with an issue with either a domain forwarding, dyndns address or router setting or something!

I am unable to get to my server for web or minecraft server.

I have a DYN account with an working host service. On my router I have Dynamic DNS set up to that host and its green and updated with the right dynamic IP address.

I have set up port forwarding and opened the relevant ports to the right server IP.

So in the example of minecraft server. The server is running on default server port.

In LCN my domain provider I have web forwarded that domain to my DYN address.

To my mind then if I navigate to that domain via minecraft it should work, but it does not. I have tried it with and without the default serve port on then end.

I can connect to the server by inputting my actual ISP IP. Boom straight in. So there is something wrong with web forwarding on my domain or with the DYN account, but for the life of me I cannot think what.

Any ideas?

(BTW I cannot access my running websites on the server either, even if I turn off the firewall which could indicate the router, but by now I am totally confused.
