Squeeze tube caps that break!

Something small, unimportant, trivial, but maybe some of the many geniuses that inhabit pfm has a solution.

I have a jumbo pair of Araldite tubes, I've only used about 5% of what they contain, but both tube caps have broken and the adhesive and hardener slowly seep out. This is not the first time this has happened, on Araldite and other tubes. Shaving soap springs to mind. What is happening to tube caps? Is it so difficult to make them so they don't break? They always break in the same way, a horizontal split about half way down.
