iMac to Tidal advice
Hi all, this my first post on PF so please bear with me if I'm in the wrong place.
I am in the fortunate position of acquiring a new iMac PC. This will be replacing an elderly Windows (7)PC which I have connected to my Linn Kairn preamp via an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound-card. This allows me to stream Tidal/Spotify, etc direct into my listening system (and very good it is too). My question is this. On looking at the iMac there is only a socket for headphones or a USB 3 outlet. This means, I assume, that I will need to get an external sound-card to be able to continue streaming. Is that correct and if so, what would be the recommended sound-card.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
