[FS] Bryston 0.4B Line Preamp

dimanche 14 février 2016

For sale is the Bryston 0.4B Line Preamp. Top quality from Canada and I think it was retailed close to £1000 when new.

It was loaned to me from a friend of mine but he now asks me to sell for him to raise some money for a phono stage.

I have connected to a NAD2100 power amp and driving various speakers, Spender BC2, Spica TC-50, Acoustic Research AR4Xa, AR25, AR98LS, Pioneer HPM-60 and I must say it's very good.

I think the strong point is the details and openness though a friend comments it's too clinical and "cold". BTW, he is a tube user so the reason.

During my my use I found two things need to be aware of. The first is because I use very thin RCA so cables from Preamp out needs to be tilted slightly. It may not be a problem to some cables.

The second is the same problem with the CD input.

Otherwise this is a lovely condition and well looked after quality preamp from Bryston.

My friend would like £285 including postage in the UK.

Here are the videos I make with the 0.4B, one with Joni and one with a Chinese pop singer.
