[FA] WARNING - eBay Listing etc

Members may want to know that I bid successfully on a Naim N-vi listed on eBay last week as "Not working - needs a Service by Naim".

Subsequently, the Seller implied that it needed a repair to the Display, which I contacted Naim about and got a price for the required Service.

I was then prepared to pay Cash and Collect the item.

However, something made me want to check further. It became clear that the problem was defective Video Boards. Naim then informed me these are unrepairable, they have no stock of spare parts, the original manufacturer no longer supports the design etc.

Did the Seller know this? In any case, the item is worthless except for Parts.

Here is the original Listing, now 'Ended' on eBay. But of course this item could pop up again elsewhere!
