Another one of those odd coincidences
On Monday I was listening to Alfred Brendel playing Haydn's plano sonatas and I was idly wondering what, if anything, he was up to at the moment. The next day was my MA graduation ceremony, and in the programme was the announcement that my university was awarding Alfred Brendel with an honorary Doctorate.
